Intersteel's stainless steel (RVS) door handles are made of an alloy of primarily iron, chromium, nickel and carbon. To speak of stainless steel, a minimum of 11% to 12% chromium and a maximum of 1.2% carbon is needed. At Intersteel we have two types of stainless steel: AISI 3014 or AISI 316. AISI 316 is regularly used on exterior door hardware because it is less susceptible to flash rust. Stainless steel is best maintained with a stainless steel cleaner. Finally, you have the choice of a brushed finish or a polished finish.
