ACTION: Free Makita battery/LED flashlight in Q1 2020

Free flashlight with 230v machines or corded machines

Target groups for this action:

1. Business users. You must provide a VAT and Chamber of Commerce number. You can make unlimited use of this promotion.
2. Private users. You can request a maximum of 5 batteries during the promotional period, and only of different products.

Duration of action:

The promotion runs from January 1 to April 30, 2020. You can register for the free flashlight (for 230 V machines) or lamp (for corded machines) until May 31, 2020 at makita.co.uk/offer.

Promotion conditions:

1. The promotions only apply if you bought the machine(s) from an official Makita dealer located in the Netherlands. You can see who our official dealers are on the dealer locator at makita.nl.
2. As a non-resident of the Netherlands, you can take advantage of the promotions if you indicate at which Service Point in the Netherlands you want to pick up (or have picked up) the free item.
3. The purchase date is in the period January 1 to April 30, 2020. The purchase date must be visible on the dealer's purchase receipt/invoice.
4. Registration must take place by the end of May 2020. Applications submitted after the closing date will not be considered.
5. Participating promotional products are on the action list. You can find it at makita.com/offer.
6. If model numbers on the action list change during the action period (e.g. discontinued machines), the action also applies to the successor or replacement of that machine.
7. Machines on makitaoutletshop.co.uk are excluded from promotions.

The application process:

We want to know the bare minimum about you in order to process your application. We do this to prevent abuse of the promotion. Thank you for your understanding.

Register your purchase at makita.co.uk/offer. We will send the free promotional item to a Service Point you specify.

You are required to upload the following data for the application. If the data is incomplete or incorrect, your application will not be processed.

1. Purchase invoice. This should include the invoice and model number. And the name and address information of yourself and your dealer. The invoice date must be between 01-01-2020 and 30-04-2020.
2. In some cases, the invoice number does not appear on the invoice. In that case, you must also upload the proof of payment (receipt) along with the invoice in a file.
3. If you bought your Makita in a hardware store where no purchase receipt or invoice is given, you must upload a numbered receipt and record the receipt number.

Please follow the registration entry fields. All fields are required. If you do not complete the following, your application will not be processed:

1. Your name and address information. These must be the same as the information on the purchase receipt/invoice/numbered receipt.
2. If you are a business user, VAT and Chamber of Commerce numbers are required.
3. Name and address information of your dealer. These should be the same as those on the purchase receipt/invoice/numbered receipt.
4. Invoice or receipt number.
5. Model or type number. This must be the same as the one on the purchase receipt/invoice/numbered receipt.
6. Serial number as shown on the nameplate of the machine. Photo of the serial number on the sticker of the package will not be accepted.
7. A photo of that nameplate with serial number should be uploaded

Please note that packing or shipping slips, order confirmations, pro forma invoices or bank statements will not be accepted. Your application will not be processed if you do not share the requested information with us completely or incorrectly.

Your request for the free action item is also used immediately to automatically extend your machine warranty to 3 years. This works as follows: as soon as you send the application, a My Makita account is automatically created (if you did not already have one). You will then receive an email confirming your account and extended warranty.

What else matters:

1. If an action machine is returned to the dealer then the right to the free action item is forfeited. Any promotional items already sent should be returned to Makita Nederland B.V. Park Forum 1101, 5657HK EINDHOVEN.
2. The free promotional item will be shipped within 5 weeks from the date of approved registration.
3. In case of well-founded suspicion of abuse of an action, Makita may decide that you cannot participate in future Makita actions.

Free battery with the purchase of an action machine

You will receive a free battery with the purchase of an action machine during the action period. You will receive a 5.0 Ah battery after registration.

The action period

The promotion is valid from January 1 to April 30, 2020.

Register your purchase by April 30, 2020 to take advantage of the promotion.

What you need.
To apply for the free battery you need to meet the requirements.

To register, you need the following information:

- Proof of purchase

(If a machine was purchased in a hardware store where there is no purchase receipt or invoice

is provided, then a numbered receipt will suffice as proof of purchase).

- Applicant's personal information (it appears on the receipt)

- Business details of the point of sale: dealer or hardware store

(these are on the proof of purchase)
- Model number of the machine (these are on the proof of purchase)

- Machine serial number (found on the machine plate on the machine)

NB: Packing or shipping slips, order confirmations or bank statements will not be accepted.
