Below are the steps and terms for receiving your free gift through the Makita gift store.

How to receive your free gift:

• Buy a Makita action product
• Register your purchase at makita.co.uk/offer or in the Makita app
• Log in here or create an account
• Register your product and choose gift or gift points
• Exchange your points for a gift in the gift store

The conditions for this are added to our general conditions of action. Please read the terms, conditions of action and application procedure carefully to avoid disappointment.

A.Terms Makita Gift Shop
General
a.These terms and conditions apply to the Makita Gift Shop (MCW).
b.By participating in the MCW, the customer agrees to these terms and conditions.
c.These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the Netherlands.

Makita Gift Points Plan (MCP) and Makita Gift Shop
The MCP rewards buyers of a Makita campaign product with the opportunity to select free gifts in the MCW that, upon approval of registration of the purchase via the Makita App or website, will be sent.
The MCP runs until at least Feb. 28, 2025.
Makita periodically names which products are in action, and how many Makita Gift Points they are worth. Which products are in action can be found in the app and on Makita's website.
Buyers can thus collect Makita Gift Points or redeem them for a gift.

Makita Gift Items
a.Makita Gift Points cannot be exchanged for cash nor for other products not listed in the MCW.
Makita Gift Points are not transferable to third parties.
Makita Gift Points are valid for up to 1 year after registration approval. Buyers should keep an eye on the expiration date themselves. Once Makita Gift Points expire, the ability to order gifts with those points will also expire

Rights to gifts
Gifts once selected cannot be exchanged. Clothing also cannot be exchanged for another clothing size.
The standard Makita warranty applies to gifts, and is valid from the approval date of the application. Gifts are not eligible for extended warranty, and therefore cannot be registered for extended warranty.

Rights Makita
The range of gifts in the MCW may be temporary, due to limited stock availability. Makita reserves the right to change the range of gifts in the MCW unannounced. Once a free item disappears from the MCW, no claims can be made for that specific item. In other words, gone = gone. Makita will ensure that several gifts are always available in the MCW so that the purchaser can redeem Makita Gift Points for a gift.
The Makita Gift Points, to the extent they have not yet expired, will no longer be valid beginning one (1) year after the end of the MCP as provided in Section 2b of these Terms and Conditions, so that upon the termination of the MCP, the customer will still have the opportunity to redeem the Makita Gift Points within one year for a gift

B.Action Terms
Target groups for this action:
1.Business users.
You must provide a VAT and Chamber of Commerce number. For each promotional product, you can request a gift or save up Gift Points.
2.Private users.
If you buy two or more identical promotional products during this promotional period, you can register a maximum of 1 of them for Gift Points.
3.Makita personnel and dealers cannot participate in this promotion.

Duration of action:
Participating promotional products can be found at makita.co.uk/offer. The promotion runs from December 1, 2023 to February 29, 2024. You can register for your Gift Points your purchases during this period until February 29, 2024 in the Makita app or at makita.co.uk/offer. Applications submitted after the closing date will not be processed. Redemption of Gift Points can be made up to 1 year after registration approval.

Promotion conditions:
1.The purchase date is within the duration of the promotion, and must be visible on the purchase receipt/invoice from the dealer. If you bought your Makita at a hardware store where no purchase receipt or invoice is given, you must upload a numbered receipt and record the receipt number.
2.The promotions only apply if you buy the machine(s) from an official Makita dealer located in the Netherlands. You can see who these are on the dealer locator of makita.nl. Questions? Please contact our Customer Service (040-2064040) in advance to avoid disappointment afterwards.
3.For orders through the Makita webshop, the chosen gift will be shipped directly with it or you can opt for loyalty points that will be credited to your account.
4.Machines on makitaoutletshop.co.uk and in the dealer's outlet, are excluded from promotions.
5.Action products ordered during the action period, but due to backorders are not delivered until after the end of the action period, can be registered for a gift up to 4 weeks after delivery. There will then be a choice of gifts available in the Gift Shop at that time. (see also A.5.a)
6.If model numbers on the action list change during the action period (e.g. discontinued machines), the action also applies to the successor or replacement of the affected machine(s).

Please note that failure to meet one or more of these conditions will lead inexorably to rejection of your application.

C.The application process
We only want to know the bare minimum about you in order to process your application. We do this to prevent abuse of the promotion. Thank you for your understanding.

Register your purchase in the Makita app or at makita.co.uk/offer. A few days after your registration is approved, you will receive the Gift Points. Choose a gift and we'll send the gift to the address you provide.

You are required to upload the following data for the application. If the information is incomplete or incorrect, your application will not be processed.
1.Purchase invoice. This must include the invoice and model number and the name and address information of yourself and your dealer. The invoice date must be between December 1 and February 29, 2024. In some cases, the invoice number does not appear on the invoice. In that case, you must also upload the receipt along with the invoice in a file.
2.If you bought your Makita in a hardware store where no purchase receipt or invoice is given, you must upload a numbered receipt and record the receipt number.

Please follow the registration entry fields. All fields are required. If any of the following information is missing, your application will not be processed:
1.If you are a business user, VAT and Chamber of Commerce number are mandatory.
2.Your name and address information and that of your dealer. These must be the same as the information on the purchase receipt/invoice/numbered receipt.
3.Invoice or receipt number.
4.Model or type number. This must be the same as the model or type number on the purchase receipt/invoice/numbered receipt.
5.Serial number as shown on the nameplate of the machine. An image of the serial number on the package sticker will not be accepted.
6.An image of the nameplate with serial number should be uploaded.

Please note that packing or shipping slips, order confirmations, pro forma invoices or bank statements will not be accepted. Your application will not be processed if you do not share the requested information with us completely or incorrectly.

Your application for action registration is also immediately used to extend your machine warranty to 3 years. After approval of your registration, the extended warranty is automatically applied. You can find the warranty registration in your account.

What else matters:
1.When an action machine is returned to the dealer, the right to the gift will expire. Any gifts already sent should be returned to Makita Nederland B.V. Park Forum 1101, 5657 HK EINDHOVEN. Any credited Gift Points will be deducted from your balance again.
2.The gift will be sent within 4 weeks from the date of approved registration.
3.In case of well-founded suspicion of abuse of an action, Makita may decide that you cannot participate in future Makita actions.
4.You automatically agree to the Terms and Conditions and have read our Privacy Policy. You can read how we handle your personal data responsibly at makita.co.uk/privacy-policy.
5.Residents of all countries in the EU can participate in actions provided the action conditions mentioned in Article 2 are met. Gifts will be sent to their address. In case of repairs, they should be presented to the selling dealer.
